Welcome to Lesismore’s website!

Hello my lovely friends!

This week is full of wonderful musical escapades for us and I hope you’ll come out and have some fun!

Wednesday Apr 19th, Harris&DeBray plays Steel Toad Brewery from 7:30-10pm! If you haven’t checked this place out yet, you should. It’s in town, on the corner of Quebec and 2nd with lots of parking, great food, big spacious room (and you can see the beer brewing from almost anywhere in the room) and live blues – it’s fun! We’d love to see your smiling faces in the room. (Also, as some of you know, we need some video of Harris&DeBray playing. If any of you feel like doing that, we’d be most appreciative. But please don’t post it on Facebook. Rather, I’ll give you my bulk email info and you can send it directly to me so I can put it into a format that I can use. Thanks!!)

Friday night Apr 21st, Harris&DeBray heads out to White Rock to play The Hemingway Waterfront Public House from 7-9:30. We love the “Hemi”! Right on the waterfront, the view is spectacular. The food is great, as are all the JRG rooms and there are libations galore. And us! Yup, we’ll see you there.

On Saturday night, April 22nd, I get to play the sold out “Sisters of Soul” show at The Anza Club! Yippee!! Joani Bye, Cecile Larochelle and I are joining Billy Dixon’s Soul Train Express and we are gonna raise the roof off that place! Yes, I’m very excited about this show.

Lots more coming up in the coming weeks and months. But a couple more things I’d like to mention:

On Saturday May 6th, it’s “Ladies Sing the Blues” again at Blue Frog Studios in White Rock! Yay!! I get to join Joani Bye, Amanda Dean, Alita Dupray and Nadine States as well as Rob Montgomery’s Allstar Band and sing my heart out to all of you lovely people. Thanks to all of you who bought tickets to our two sold out shows!!

This just in: On Friday May 12th, I’ll be backing up the incredible Tanya Tagaq at The Vogue Theatre as part of the Vancouver Opera Festival by joining The Elements Choir, led by Christine Duncan! OMG! This will be a very different kind of show – Ms. Tagaq is a throat singer and performance artist. The choir will be behind her making different vocal noises when prompted by Christine. How exciting!! Tickets available at: https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1412206

Finally, Dish N Dazzle on May 18th. This is a fundraiser for the BC Hospitality Foundation – an organization that’s very dear to my heart. This year it features the wines of Chile and fourteen of Vancouver’s top restaurants dishing out little tastes of deliciousness for you to enjoy. The Lesismore quartet will be playing there and this year, we’ll be joined by “Vancouver’s Crooning Sensation”, Bobby Bacchus! Bobby (aka Darcy Murdoch) is a double lung transplant recipient whom BCHF helped out during his illness. We are very proud to have him share the spotlight with us at this annual event. You do NOT want to miss this! There are a few tickets left and you can purchase them here: https://www.eply.com/dishndazzle2017

Okay, that’s it for now! See you at the gigs!

Yup – this Saturday people – YAY!!! I look forward to seeing your smiling, dancing selves in that room. Fairview Pub: 4:30-7:30pm with the great Chip Hart joining us on drums. Oh yeah.

“Sisters of Soul” at The Anza on Apr 22nd, which some of you got a preview of at Marianne’s birthday party last night, is all but sold out. I have four tickets left and that may be it! PLEASE – if this interests you, contact me asap!! $30 each for a great night of music with myself, Joani Bye and Cecile Larochelle joining Billy Dixon’s Soul Train Express. FUN!!

That’s all for now – short and sweet.

Well, it’s a very sad thing but The Dover Arms is closing. This Saturday, April 1st will be our last show there. I hear that they may open in a new location but for now, this is it. There are still some other live acts coming in there until Apr 21st but this is the last time Lesismore will play there. So come down and help us party there this last time! We play from 4-8 and we’d LOVE to see you in the room!

A couple of things are happening before that though: Tonight – Thursday Mar 30th, Harris&DeBray are playing One20 Public House in North Delta from 6:30-9:30. Fantastic gastropub with amazing food and libations. We’d love to see you there!

Tomorrow night, Friday Mar 31st, Harris&DeBray are heading out to White Rock to play Hemingway’s Waterfront Public House from 7-9:30! Yippee! We love it there!

Next Tuesday, it’s the lovely Marianne’s 70th Birthday Party at The Fairview with zillions of musicians performing to raise money for the school she attended as a child – Strathcona! The entry is by donation, and then it’s an evening of musical mayhem with almost every musician in Vancouver gracing the stage between 5pm and 2am!! Curtis and I will be on around 7:30.

And then it’s The Fairview Pub on Saturday Apr 8th from 4:30-7:30. Yay!! LOVE the Fairview Saturday Afternoon Dance! So fun. You KNOW you wanna be there!!

So much more coming up but for now, that’s it. Thanks to all of you who bought tickets to the upcoming “Sisters of Soul” at The Anza on Apr 22nd. It’s pretty much sold out – I think there may be a half dozen or so tickets left. If you’re interested, NOW would be the time to let me know you need some!

See you at the gigs!

Tomorrow night – Saturday Mar 25th, Harris&DeBray is heading out to Coquitlam to play Micky’s Pub from 7-9:30pm. It’s just off the Maryhill Bypass and is a great spot with yummy food and drinks. Come!!

And then it’s Sunday – that’s when Harris&DeBray goes back to the lovely Ten Ten Tapas to play a show – yay!! We LOVE Ten Ten – right on the water, excellent food and service – awesome. We’ll be playing some blues, some roots, a few originals and even a few pop tunes for your dining pleasure. We start at 7pm and go til around 9:15. A reservation is a really good idea – it’s an intimate place. 604-689-7800. See you there!

Next Thurs Mar 30th it’s One20 Pub in Delta, Fri Mar 31st – Hemingway’s in White Rock and Saturday Apr 1st the Lesismore quartet is back at The Dover Arms Pub in the West End from 4-8pm. Fun times!!

Tickets are selling REALLY fast for “Sisters of Soul” at The Anza on Apr 22nd! If you haven’t got yours yet – please contact me right away so you’re not disappointed. $30 for an evening with Billy Dixon’s Soul Train Express featuring Joani Bye, Cecile LaRochelle and me! Oh yeah, it’s gonna be super fun. 🙂

LOTS more happening – please check out our website for all the details.
