After a fantastic show at The Fairview last Sunday, Ladies Sing the Blues is back at it this Saturday Aug 24th! That’s right, we’ll be at Frankie’s Jazz Club – a VERY respected venue in Vancouver, playing our hearts out and we really hope you can join us. 755 Beatty Street, right across from BC Place Stadium. There are still a few tickets left ($20) and you can find them here: http://www.frankiesjazzclub.ca/upcoming-events/
And then it’s (FINALLY) Gardenstock!! Yay! After being postponed twice due to rain, this fantastic event is really gonna happen. Sunday Aug 25th, we are on! As most of you already know, it’s in Sue Webb’s beautiful garden in Maple Ridge – 12411 204B Street, to be exact. Doors are at 3pm and there will be tables set up for food donations “not required but very appreciated”, says Sue. Tickets are $20 and Sue would like you to put the cash (or cheque made out to Leslie Harris) in an envelope with your name or names clearly written on the front and place it into the drop box provided there. It’s BYOB so grab your beer, wine or whatever and bring it with you! We are gonna have so much fun! Here’s the itinerary: From 4-5pm, you will be entertained by the amazing Bobby Bacchus (Darcy Murdoch) doing his crooning thing. At 5:30, introducing Dan (Sue’s son) and Nadia (his lovely girlfriend) for an intimate set of new material. Then, Harris&Debray will come on around 6 and play until around 8. How fun is that??? Yup, lots. See you there! In case you get lost, Sue’s phone number is 604-837-4817.
Next week is chock a block, too:
