Welcome to Lesismore’s website!
Hello my lovely music friends,
There are so many wonderful shows on the books I can barely believe it! We are truly blessed. Here’s what’s happening this week (you can find all the rest on our events page):
Friday, Apr 10th – the duo heads out to White Rock to play The Hemingway Waterfront Public House from 7-9:30pm. It’s a fabulous location right on the beach with great food, awesome service and live music! We’d love to see you there. http://jrgvancouver.ca/the-hemingway-public-house/#
Saturday, Apr 11th – it’s off to Langley to play at Porter’s. This gig is the whole band and if you haven’t checked out Porter’s yet, it is fantastic! It’s a small place with a huge heart. The owners, Karen and Bill Buurmeester are serious music lovers (Bill’s a musician himself) who go to great lengths to make sure they provide quality entertainment and a wonderful evening for you. We play from 7-10 and you definitely need reservations – which include a home cooked meal! So great. http://www.porterscoffeehouse.ca/
Then on Sunday afternoon Apr 12th – it’s a Blues Party at The Pat Pub on Hastings from 3-7pm! What a civilized time, non? This is gonna be FUN!! The Pat is sorta the new Yale in that it’s hosting blues bands on a big stage with a great sound system in a seedy old hotel that’s been cleaned up and made quite lovely and has a good sized dance floor. One great difference from The Yale though is that they have food! And it’s good! They’re just starting these Sunday blues parties so we are STOKED to represent! If you’re not doing anything, we could really use you there – let’s show them that Lesismore can pack the joint! www.patspub.ca
And finally a reminder about the Billy Dixon/Lesismore Boat Cruise on Sunday, July 5th. If you haven’t contacted me or Billy for your tickets yet, GET ON IT! It’s gonna sell out. Just imagine a lovely Summer day on a beautiful yacht (The Queen of Diamonds) sailing out of Plaza of Nations at 2pm with TWO bands rockin’ onboard (we’re on the main level and Billy’s on the top deck) for a four hour cruise to wherever the captain chooses to go, a light meal, a full bar, two dance floors – OMIGOD! Can you say fun? All this for $50 in advance. Ya. Now would be the time to grab these much-coveted tickets. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll see you onboard!
That’s all for now, folks. See you at the gigs!

On Scott Road at about 82nd Ave.
Friday night Apr 3rd, we’re doin’ our regular monthly appearance at The Heritage Grill in New West from 8-midnight. This is one of our fav places to play and it’s right at the Columbia Skytrain station so ultra easy to get to! Come on out and do some dancing with us! (604)759-0810 for ressies.
Saturday night Apr 4th, Curtis and I are heading to White Rock to play The Hemingway Waterfront Public House – a VERY cool place! It’s right on the water and has a menu and drink list to die for!! We play an early show from 7-9:30pm and we definitely would appreciate you making the trek to join us!

Just in – Saturday March 28th, the trio will be playing at the brand new Big Rock Urban Eatery in Vancouver that just opened last week from 7-10pm! We are VERY happy about this!! It’s a brewery with a 160 seat full service restaurant and a renowned chef (and brewmaster) and it’s gorgeous! Check it out here http://bigrockurban.com/ Make your reservation and we’ll see you there!
Thanks for continuing to support live music – we couldn’t do it without you!

Hello all you fabulous music-loving people!
Omigod – where to start? Okay, begin at the beginning, right? So, this week Harris-DeBray (the Lesismore duo) heads over to Richmond to play the beautiful Curve Lounge in the River Rock Casino Wed to Fri, Mar 25, 26, 27 from 5-8pm!! No cover charge, great food, great sightlines – hope to see you there!
Next week we’re playing One20 Pub in North Delta on Thurs Apr 2nd, The Heritage Grill in New West on Fri Apr 3rd and Hemingway’s in White Rock on Sat Apr 4th – phew!! All the details are on our events page.
A couple of special things I wanna bring to your attention though so you can mark your calendars and make plans:
Apr 12th – The Pat Pub at 403 East Hastings from 3-7pm. This is a monthly blues thang that is gonna be REALLY fun!
May 7th – Dish N Dazzle (in case you were wondering about the picture at the top). This is an EXCELLENT cause that we play each year and it’s only $69 with the promo code in the poster for a fantastic evening of Argentinian wines, food from some of Vancouver’s top restaurants and music from Lesismore! In case you’re not aware, the BC Hospitality Foundation raises money to support people who work in hospitality who are faced with financial challenges due to illness. It’s a cause that is very dear to my heart after spending many years in that industry. It would be so great if you could join us!
June 4th – My birthday party at Heritage Grill. Not just any birthday either – it’s my SIXTIETH!!! Omigod, how the hell did that happen??? Time sure does fly. For those of you who know Heritage Grill, you know that it’s only holds so many people in the front room where we play so make your reservations NOW!! (604)759-0819. More about this later but here’s a hint: The theme is “Send Leslie to Spain” so in lieu of gifts, please put in a little something (or a big something lol) to make this dream of mine happen. I MUST go to the world’s largest food fight, “La Tomatina”!! More about this later.
And finally, Billy Dixon and Lesismore’s Boat Cruise on Sunday July 5th!!! There are already some tickets sold and this will sell out for sure. It’s from 2-6pm (board at 1) on The Queen of Diamonds out of Plaza of Nations. Billy and his stellar band on the rooftop layin down the R&B dance grooves and the Lesismore quintet with Steve Hilliam on sax (Colin James Band and many others) on the main level rockin’ out with our own special brand of blues and soul! Omigod, so fun! You can buy your tickets – $50 in advance – directly from me. Just email me to arrange it. If there are any left on the day of, which I highly doubt, they’ll be $75.
See – I told you there was a lot and that’s just a few things! All the gigs are on our website so make sure you check the events.
Thanks so much – you know we love you!!
See you at the gigs,
Leslie & the boys
